Parent / Caregiver Testimonials
So helpful to have creative ways to help my children grow, especially when I have a job that sucks my creativity and attention dry. Thankful for CP!
I very much look forward to our meetings, they always leave me feeling more confident in my abilities as a parent, and help me with any problems or issues I may be feeling or am dealing with. Very helpful with resources and info on community activities.
“Our Family Advocate has been so helpful and creative with finding activities my kids can engage in and keep entertained when I feel I’m lacking in creativity!”

Frequently asked questions
How often will I have to meet?
Typically, families will meet once a week for the first month to get to know your family advocate and then visits continue 1-2 times a month until your child start Kindergarten. We will work with your schedule, nights, weekends, during the day. Whatever works for you!
Where do visits take place?
Wherever it is convenient and comfortable for you. We can come to your home, a park, coffee shop, library, our office, or any other safe location.
How long will I be in the program?
It is up to you and is dependent on your child’s age. We can meet starting in pregnancy and until your child starts Kindergarten. You can be in the program as long as you like. To get the full benefit of the program we recommend a one-year commitment, but we encourage any engagement at any time. If you are looking for support before the summer your child starts kindergarten that is ok, come on in and we would love to meet you.
Do you work with families with special needs children?
Yes. The Parents as Teachers curriculum addresses the needs of families with children that have special needs and challenges and has a resource network to help address any needs you, your child, or your family may have.
My family looks different from others. Will I be judged?
Never. At Community Partnership Family Resource Center, we understand that every family is unique. Whether you’re a single parent, a blended family, a multigenerational household, or any other family structure, we know that no two families are exactly alike. But even though your family might look different from your neighbor’s, we’ve learned that all families face similar challenges at one point or another in their journey.
