- Adopt a garden bed— Enjoy your own garden bed at the Community Garden to plant, grow, and harvest throughout the season for a $45 fee. Whether you’re growing vegetables, herbs, or flowers, this is a great way to connect with nature and take home fresh, homegrown produce.
- Volunteer— Be part of what keeps the garden thriving! Lend a hand with watering, weeding, general upkeep, and small projects while connecting with others and giving back to the community.
- Work & Learn Days — Join us anytime during our twice-weekly, hands-on sessions led by our Master Gardener. Grow your gardening skills, dig into high-altitude techniques, and connect with fellow community members to learn together. See the Garden Calendar for dates and topics.
Learn high-altitude gardening

Join the Community Garden to learn high-altitude, sustainable gardening alongside neighbors and CP’s Master Gardener while growing fresh, healthy produce. Gardeners of all ages, skill levels, and abilities are welcome! The main gardening season runs from the last spring frost to the first fall frost, typically June through September or October. Explore a variety of gardening techniques perfect for our mountain climate.
Sustainability
Organic gardening practices enrich the soil and food while protecting the land and conserving open space and wildlife habitats for the benefit of future generations.

Gardens foster connection and cooperation, bring people together to learn, grow, and build a more sustainable community.
Education
Weekly work and learn days provide opportunities for community members to learn gardening techniques and skills for our high-altitude environment. We encourage learning across the age span and welcome the whole family.
The community garden addresses:
- High altitude gardening.
- Variety - pollinator bed, demonstration gardens, potato patch, and much more.
- Community collaboration.
- Native plants and produce for high altitude climates.
Common topics for participants:
Gardening tips and techniques.
- Garden maintenance and management.
- Different methods for different environments.

Do you have volunteer opportunities?
Yes. It is a community effort. Water, help maintain the grounds, pull weeds and more. Join us anytime during the scheduled dates on our monthly gardening activity calendar that is posted on our website or contact CP to learn how you can get involved. Open to all ages and no experience required.
Do you need previous garden experience?
No. We have a Master Gardener to help you every step of the way.
How old do you have to be to participate?
There is no age requirement. We love to see people of all ages at the gardens learning and growing alongside one another.

Do I have to bring my own garden tools?
No. A limited number of garden tools are available for use during the garden season.
