We are here for you
Serving families of all shapes and sizes since 1992

Our Mission:

Strengthening families and our community.

Our Vision:

All families are resilient, connected, and included in building a thriving community.

Our Story:

CP is a grassroots 501c3 nonprofit organization that was founded in 1992 by the community, for the community.

At Community Partnership Family Resource Center (CP), we understand that every family is unique. Whether you’re a single parent, a blended family, a multigenerational household, or any other family structure, we know that no two families are exactly alike. But even though your family might look different from your neighbor’s, we’ve learned that all families face similar challenges at one point or another in their journey.

Every household is unique
And everyone is welcome

Community Partnership Family Resource Center’s (CP) inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility (IDEA) mission is to build an engaged and representative Family Resource Center that recognizes the importance of inclusion and access. We believe that every person deserves to have a voice and a choice in the matters that affect their lives. We actively seek out and value individuals’ perspectives, ensuring that we focus on our internal and external community’s diverse needs and goals, regardless of personal or political beliefs.

Fostering inclusivity

Creating a space that fosters a sense of belonging, where differences are welcomed and perspectives are affirmed.

Building capacity

Providing ongoing continuous IDEA professional development and capacity building sessions to our staff and continuing to develop and enact equitable policies, practices, and procedures.

Our core values
Guiding principles to create a stronger community

Family

We celebrate and support unique and diverse families within our organization and throughout our community. We recognize that every family is different, and we honor and respect those differences without judgment.

Community

We foster a welcoming and inclusive environment where everyone feels a sense of belonging. We encourage families to build connections, lean on each other for support, and work together to create a stronger, more resilient community.

Collaboration

We believe in the power of collaboration and open communication, even when it’s not easy. We actively listen to our internal team, our partners, and the families we serve, engage in meaningful conversations, and work hand-in-hand with them to find ways to achieve their goals.

Excellence

We strive for excellence in all that we do and inspire excellence in those we serve. We understand that excellence is not perfection, and requires dedication, hard work, and a commitment to continuous growth and improvement.

Integrity

We approach our work with authenticity, transparency, and humility. We acknowledge that we are all human and imperfect, and we strive to create an environment where everyone feels comfortable being their true selves.

Compassion

We are deeply committed to supporting families and our team during good times and in their most challenging times. We don’t just express concern; we help them take action.

Inclusion

We believe that every person deserves to have a voice and a choice in the matters that affect their lives. We actively seek out and value individuals’ perspectives, ensuring that we focus on our internal and external community’s diverse needs and goals, regardless of personal or political beliefs.

We advocate for you Not these misconceptions

When you’ve been supporting a community for over 30+ years, you’re bound to hear everything, including these misconceptions.

How does CP define a “family”?

Your definition of family is our definition. You define family for yourself, and we will support it.

Is CP a government entity?

No. We are an independent, local, grassroots, 501c3 non-profit organization. We are not a government agency. Your information is kept confidential, and participation is voluntary. The information we ask of you is simply to show the demographics of our community. Your name will never be shared without your permission.

Are CP programs just for families with children?

No, we have something for everyone! Yoga, GED classes, cooking & nutrition classes, a food pantry, and more. There are over 20 different programs to explore.

Is CP just for families in crisis?

No, in fact we are not a crisis center but a resource center. There is something here for everyone. You may be new to the community and are looking for a way to connect with others, or you may need support writing a resume and searching for new employment.

Is there a minimum income level?

No, we do not require any income level or other qualifying factors to participate.

Is there a minimum age to participate?

This depends on the program you are interested in. We have something for everyone; however, some programs are for adults only and some are for families with young children. Check out the program you are interested in to learn more.

Is CP only for residents of Woodland Park?

No, we serve all of Teller County and surrounding areas.

Why would CP need my financial support?

We are a non-profit organization, which means we are 100% dependent on grants and donations to ensure that our work strengthening Teller County families continues. Every donation given to CP goes directly to programming and operations so that we can provide free programs and events, a community center, and financial assistance to families in our community. Your donation will stay local and will have a positive impact here at home.

We know you still have questions, let’s talk!
